Ben has recently returned to Sydney after 15 months overseas, 4-5 months living in Auckland, New Zealand working with the groovy KFM radio crew. 8 months living in Buenos Aires, Argentina working with local musicians and studios, and on his own music.
Since returning he has once again set up Studio Soundsbent and is already producing some fresh new tunes with Assemblage Point.
He is also in the midst of setting up an independent record label:

Um Records Mission Statement:
UM Records is an artist friendly record label, always seeking new sounds and developing the old. UM Records is committed to only releasing music that comes from the soul, music that is true artistic expression. With the ·Spoken Wisdom· series UM Records is providing people with knowledge, tools and wisdom to help all those interested in developing themselves personally and spiritually.

The first releases on the label will be his own work as Benn DeMole, with an Assemblage Point album expected for October. Future releases will be “The Seeds of Personal Growth” by his uncle Michael DeMole, as well as work from Ion Pearce, and the Sumatralia project with Rendra Freestone.

Soundsbent is Ben Hudson a qualified, experienced Audio Engineer, Producer, & Remixer. He works with a vast variety of Musicians and Music in many different places, from the underground to the mainstream. Types of music include: Indian Classical, Metal, Acoustic, HipHop, Asian Percussion, Funk, Rock, R·n·B, Indigenous, and Pop in its many different guises.

He worked in Sony Music Studios for ten years, growing & developing with it, from the purchase of the first Protools System to the installation of the 72 channel Neve VR console. During that time he has developed and fine tuned his working knowledge of all aspects of Audio Engineering, from the art of Microphone placement to the balancing act of large multichannel mix downs; from the editing power of Protools to extracting the best possible performance from a vocalist.

Other work apart from music recording done inside studios varies from quality transfers vinyl > CD, to sound design and mixing for TV and radio.

Outside of the recording studio environment Ben·s experience includes lots of live sound, including international touring and many local venues both in Sydney and New Zealand, radio production, live bands and field recordings.

Soundsbent Remixes are mainly on the HipHop/Downbeat tip, but also vary into Ambient & Dub & Industrial. Ben also does the occasional Soundbeats Remix which are dance pop.
